Good Morning(ish),
A few days ago we talked about the 1st Amendment and an ad from ManCrunch.com which was rejected for broadcast during the Super Bowl by CBS. Responding to public outrage, much home-made sign making and sporadic marching in the streets, the good people at National Amusements have taken some pretty bold programming action. Preserving the Tiffany Network's lofty place in the annals of broadcasting, CBS will air an ad from our good friends at Focus On The Family instead. Since the subject matter in the ad is too complex for me to understand, I went to my trusted source for all things I don't really understand in this big scary world, SmartGirlPolitics.ning.com. Trust me, it's for boys too. Here's proof of my pending membership:
Once there, I found all the information I ever wanted about Barack Obama and his quest to turn the greatest country in the history of history into a haven for draft dodgers, tax evaders and people who make a living asking people to click on google ads in the sidebar of their blog. And I also found the following nuanced commentary about the ad in question. Watch for yourself and I guarantee you won't feel like a moron at all anymore either...
(In the interest of full disclosure, it should be noted that Focus On The Family is also the proud sponsor of famed Chelsea Piers D3 Hockey League defending champions, The Toros.)
In related news, my friend Vince moved to Colorado a few weeks ago to work for some big fancy ad agency and nobody misses him at all.
Vince.
In other news, last month the US unemployment rate fell from 10 to 9.7% while 20,000 people were laid of off, which of course makes perfect sense.
In today's installment of "Giving Credit Where Credit's Due" I offer the following bit of comedic genius from our good friends at The Republican Party Of Virginia.
In today's installment of: "This is cool..."
Said youtube viewer xfubar:
"I think you feeling the need to tell me that what I said was childish is even more childish than the said comment..."
Finally, tonight is the second night of the Casey Shea Band's 2010 Three Day World Tour. We take the stage at Rockwood Music Hall at 11pm. We'll be playing right after TBA:
(Warning: The preceding announcement contains information about a individual who's wikipedia page "may not meet the general notability guideline.")

P.S. Today is National Wear Red Day
P.P.S. I'll bet you all the money I make from people clicking the ads in the right margin today that Casey can't get the other guys in the band to wear red.
